Replika is looking for a Brand Design Manager to help define a brand-new AI product from the ground up. This is a highly conceptual design role focused on designing the product itself — its functions, experiences, interactions, and the way it creates meaningful moments in people's lives — rather than simply designing its interface.

You will turn emerging AI and technical capabilities into original product concepts that can improve users' daily lives. Working directly with Product, Engineering, and the founders, you will rapidly prototype, test, and iterate on ideas, prioritizing originality, speed, and meaningful user experiences over polished presentations or pixel-perfect execution.

• Design the product experience from the ground up, defining functions, mechanics, interactions, and user experiences.
• Translate AI and technical capabilities into meaningful product functions that improve users' lives.
• Develop original product concepts and new interaction mechanics that differentiate the product.
• Rapidly prototype and ship working concepts to gather feedback and validate ideas.
• Continuously test, learn, and iterate on concepts based on user and team feedback.
• Push concepts beyond conventional or derivative solutions to create distinctive product experiences.
• Collaborate directly with Product, Engineering, and company founders to take concepts from ideation to real product experiences.
• Work independently and drive product concepts from initial idea through implementation.
• Use the fastest and most effective prototyping medium for each concept, including design tools, motion, code, paper, or presentations.

• Strong experience as a concept-first or product-focused designer who designs product functionality and experiences, not only interfaces.
• Demonstrated ability to invent original product experiences and develop concepts that have not been explored before.
• Deep understanding of what makes products exceptional, distinctive, and memorable.
• Ability to translate emerging technical capabilities, including AI, into meaningful user-facing experiences.
• Strong bias toward speed, experimentation, prototyping, and learning through execution.
• Comfort working from a blank page without established patterns, specifications, or predefined solutions.
• Hands-on, self-directed approach with the ability to independently develop and drive ideas.
• Nice to have: Experience designing AI, conversational, or emotionally engaging products.
• Nice to have: Experience taking a product concept from zero to a product used by real customers.
• Nice to have: Portfolio demonstrating range across product concepts, prototypes, and shipped experiences.
• Nice to have: Experience using Figma, motion, code, paper, Keynote, or other rapid prototyping methods.
