Cloud9 is seeking a Thumbnail Designer - Projects (Contractor) to support its Content and Social team by creating engaging, high-quality thumbnails for esports and entertainment content. The role focuses on designing thumbnails for podcasts, comms videos, game highlights, and other digital media while maintaining strong visual quality, fast turnaround times, and adherence to brand standards.

This is a remote, project-based contractor opportunity open globally. Candidates must submit a portfolio showcasing thumbnail design work, preferably related to esports or gaming content.

• Create high-quality thumbnails for podcasts, comms videos, game highlights, and other video content.
• Ensure all designs align with Cloud9 brand guidelines and messaging.
• Deliver projects within deadlines while maintaining strong visual quality.
• Incorporate internal feedback and revisions efficiently.
• Collaborate with internal content and social teams to ensure consistency across deliverables.
• Maintain flexibility and responsiveness to fast-paced content production schedules.

• 1+ years of experience designing thumbnails or digital content assets.
• Strong proficiency in graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar software.
• Ability to create engaging thumbnails without relying on AI-generated imagery.
• Fluent English communication skills, written and spoken.
• Familiarity with esports, gaming culture, entertainment, and pop culture.
• Ability to work flexible hours aligned with Pacific Time deadlines.
